Mauritius, A honeymoon paradise

With traditional wedding vows still being used, the ways in which we celebrate a marriage have altered right throughout the travel industry. Today’s honeymooner may be looking for adventure, an exotic getaway or to just simply relax and unwind.
When you dream of the perfect honeymoon, tropical islands with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters tend to spring to mind as the perfect location to spend your honeymoon. Mauritius is therefore the perfect honeymoon destination. For those who decide to have their honeymoon in Mauritius you’ll be rewarded with the classic escape from it all, dream Tropical Island, with vanilla beaches, cloudless skies and amazing food. Within a few seconds of landing on this paradise island, you will have completely forgotten about all the stress of planning the wedding, now you can sit back and relax in paradise.
The biggest lure has to be the stunning beaches that surround the coastline; however there is more to Mauritius than just stunning beaches and breath taking landscape, there is also plenty to do one the island itself. There is an abundance of excursions to places such as the Grand Bay, you can go swimming with Dolphins, there’s deep sea fishing, luxury spas and so much more to be discovered on your Mauritius honeymoon.
There is something for everyone in Mauritius, if you’re an active couple then there are lots of water sports to partake in. You can go diving in places such as the Grand Bai and Rodrigues, both offering great diving opportunities above coral gardens, bursting with reef fish. There are also numerous spots where you can go deep sea fishing and surfing. If you’re a couple who likes to relax and go for walks, then there are an abundance of hiking trails and beaches for you to enjoy. Hike to the summit of Montagne du lion for stunning views of the interior of the island or why not head to the Riviere Noire National Park for some of the best trails on the island.
Ultimate relaxation is something every couple seeks on honeymoon, so why not treat yourselves and be pampered in one of the islands luxury spas.
You won’t struggle to find luxurious accommodation on the island of Mauritius, but I thought I would share with you my favourite resort on the island, Les Pavillions hotel, which as arguably the best settings on the island against the backdrop of the beautiful Morne Mountain. Choose a deluxe room where you will be treated to a private hot tub, I couldn’t think of a more romantic way to unwind than in a hot tub, gazing into the night time sky, watching the sun go down.
